Meadowview has many local ministries in which we support and you can be involved. Please view these local ministries below:

Disaster Response Ministry
The Disaster Response ministry normally meets about once a quarter unless we need to discuss an upcoming trip in response to a disaster. Disaster Response is a ministry that we have been a part of for eleven years; this ministry gives us an opportunity to be able to be the hands and feet of Christ in times of need when people have lost all hope. We are blessed to be a part of God’s work through this ministry. Side note: we have taken 15 trips; worked in North Carolina, Tennessee, Alabama, Mississippi, and New Jersey; worked approximately 7,500 hours and traveled 14,000 miles.

Missions Committee Ministry
The Missions Committee meets the first Sunday after worship service every month. The committee is responsible for all international, national, and local missions’ activities, financial distribution of Faith Promise funds, prayer request and coordination, annual mission’s conference and on-going partnerships with missions and missionaries.

Is a ministry designed to provide a bit of softness in a world of uncertainties. Ladies crochet and knit shawls, and pray for shawls that are given to our High School graduates and College graduates. The same is done for those that need comfort, such as hospital patients, those who have suffered long term distress or anytime someone needs a little comfort.

Compassion Team Ministry
The Meadowview Compassion Team is a group of ladies who serve the church family in a variety of ways. Working with a network of volunteers, we provide a meal for members and regular attendees who are in the hospital overnight. We also provide meals for members and regular attendees who have a death in their immediate families, if the family needs this support. We prepare the communion elements and set-up for all communion services and then clean up after the services. In addition, we have a card ministry. We send cards monthly to shut-ins, and a few missionaries that are from our church. We also send flowers, cards, or other appropriate items to members and regular attendees when they have to be hospitalized overnight.

Team members extend the love of Christ through fellowship into the lives of others who live lives of unimaginable hardship. Volunteers spend the evenings with an overnight stay at the homeless shelter the third and fourth Saturdays of each month throughout the year. Volunteers are generally there by 7:00 PM to fellowship with the residents, help serve meals, get the residents bedded down, and help with breakfast the next day. The ministry also holds a Bible study on each Friday morning at the shelter, generally from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. While there are many residents who know the Lord and we rejoice with them and provide scripture to lift them up in their daily walk, there are also many who are unsaved. We are thankful for the opportunity to share the plan of salvation with them. The mercy and grace of our Lord Jesus Christ is eternal!
Prayer Email Ministry
We are called to pray without ceasing! The Prayer Ministry is a way for us to stay in touch with the needs of our church body and surrounding community. This involves a list of prayer requests sent out daily, Monday through Friday. Included are prayer items for those with health issues, those facing grief and loss, our military, nursing home residents, and missionaries, as well as any other concerns in need of prayer. Urgent requests and updates are sent throughout the week as necessary.
To sign up to receive the prayer emails or to submit requests, contact the Prayer Ministry at firstname.lastname@example.org. Requests may also be called in to the church office at 336.249.2680.
